Yiannis is an executive director at Xtellus Europe Ltd.

He is a visionary leader in investments and fintech, having served on the boards of major investment groups, including FBS, Lykke, Oval Money/ETX Capital, TopFX Group. Yiannis is also serving as board member of Kraken (Cyprus), mainly focusing on the derivatives offering in the European territory.

His expertise has driven landmark projects, including Switzerland's inaugural Crypto Exchange, Lykke,  the foundation of the European Blocktech Federation and the Cyprus Blockchain Association, significantly shaping the European blockchain landscape. His initiatives have been recognized with numerous accolades, including Cyprus Fintech Company of the Year (2017) under the European Champion program, BlockIs' Top 45 EU Blockchain Innovative Companies, and Blockchain 4 All EU grants, as well as selected to participate at the Tokyo Government Blockchain Business Camp (2017) as one of the most innovative blockchain businesses at the time.

Yiannis has also served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Nicosia for seven years, imparting his expertise in digital currency and blockchain education.

Recognized for his thought leadership, Yiannis serves as an external reviewer for the Journal of Governance and Regulation, and advises incubators, VCs and other initiatives in the fields of FinTech, Crypto and Blockchain.

Yiannis graduated from Leeds University with a BSc in Mathematics and MSc in Financial Mathematics, and holds an MBA from Imperial College London. Yiannis is also a Chartered Member of the CISI, he holds academic qualifications from MIT/Yale, and is a CySEC Advance/AML certified.
